May 19th is the day! The Studio will be hosting a workshop for everyone to have some fun and learn a bit for next to NOTHING!!!!! Bring your costuming & makeup -- it's going to be a blast. We'll show how to mix and match costuming ideas for cabaret, folkloric, tribal, and all sorts of fusionary styles, plus show makeup tips. If you don't have much in the line of costuming or makeup --- DON'T WORRY! The Naughties and Lumani have enough to share. Once we're all made up, Shahala Liz will be taking our pictures ... be ready to smile (or brood) for the camera. The charge is only $15! This covers munchies, any handouts we have, and every participant will receive a cd of ALL of the pics taken for the day. More brief subjects for discussion are being considered, so this could be VERY educational for all. Time will be announced closer to the date to make sure it is convenient for the largest number of people. Be prepared to laugh til you ... well, you know your own bladder better than I do!

    Er um...I don't know if the CD will contain ALL the pictures taken at the photo shoot. I'll try to bring the laptop and the download cables so we can move the pictures from the camera to computer so you may be taking home your CD that night...but I know that the amount of pictures I take, they will not fit on one CD. For the previous Naughties shoot, I culled down pictures so it would fit on the CD for you girls.

    The pictures will be of medium resolution - high enough if you want to get an 8x10 picture made..and more than high enough for webpage/snapshots/wallets/etc. And, I will not photoshop them! I tend to spend too much time playing with photo-editing tools, and you may have other ideas on what you want to do with your picture.

    i also got another idea. anyone want to get henna done a day before the shoot (to let it develop)? I will do it for free if i can get atleast one pic from everyone i do to expand my portfolio. i also plan to attend and get pictures done and can do henna that day if you'd rather have paste-on pics instead of the stain. i can also do glitter and rhinestones to glamor them up for the pics. i know there's probably going to be eye kandy (which i've been wanting to try) and i have some mac eyeshadows that are pretty awesome in peacock colors and waterproof eyeliners to play with. i should have body paints for my airbrush by then and could do airbush tattoos as well.

      This discussion was for last May's workshop, but I think we're going to get geared up for another one some time soon. Maybe we can manage doing one in March to prepare for Andrea coming to visit us in April or in June as prep for Jim's arrival. Henna is always fun, so that will have to be included in our discussions. I dunno when all the teachers and folk will be together for another planning session for the studio. Maybe I can try to get a meeting together in the next few weeks considering we're getting together for TribalCon planning anyhow.
